We had. great day with 20 candidates turning up to take their City & Guilds 2382 examination. The 18th edition wiring regulations is still our most popular qualification, this industry must qualification is a requirement not only for CPS schemes such as the NICEIC or NAPIT but also a prerequisite for other electrical qualifications such as the 2391 test and inspecting qualification by City & Guilds.
Three of the 18th edition candidates also took us up on our great offer of also taking their Part P qualification on the same day making a huge saving financially and not having to take any additional time off work to get this industry favourite qualification by City & Guilds. ‘feeding two birds with one scone‘
Although the Part P qualification does not allow you to make Part P notifications under Part P of the Building Regulations, for this you would still need to join a competent person scheme such as the NICEIC or NAPIT. It does help tick the boxes to being able to evidence competency around completing electrical works in a dwelling, we find most candidates taking the Part P qualification are looking to undertake non-notifiable works such as switched fused spurs, adding sockets, replacing accessories or fault-finding.
