Ladder Safety

Around 30% of all workplace related injuries involve ladders. However, You don’t need to hold any formal qualifications to use a ladder, but you do need to be competent. This online ladder safety course will raise a learner’s awareness of the associated dangers, provide practical steps to be taken to reduce accidents by working through the checks that should be made before using a ladder, cover how to minimise the risks when using a ladder, and how to maintain and store ladders correctly. This will enable you to identify if a ladder is the right equipment for the job, select the correct type of ladder and reduce the risks to the health and safety of you and others when ladders are being used.

The course will communicate the essential information needed for workers to reduce the risks involved in working at height in the workplace.

At the end of our essential e-learning Ladder Safety Awareness Course, candidates will complete a multiple-choice test. Successful candidates will then be awarded an e certificate which can be used as evidence of their continuing professional development, used when seeking to gain employment or further careers, used to update CPD and will demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of ladder safety in the workplace.

This bite-sized course is delivered online and can be completed using a PC, MAC, or tablet. The course is available 24/7, and you can receive your certificate anytime, anywhere.

Once the enrolment process has been completed, candidates will be emailed access to the online course material within 24 hours. 

This course will provide candidates with a fundamental understanding and knowledge of ladder safety whilst in the workplace.

By the end of the e-learning course, candidates will have learned about:

• Selecting the correct ladder.
• Ladder safety checks.
• Moving and setting up, and using ladders safely.
• Keeping ladders in good working order.
• Storing ladders.

This online awareness course is designed for workers with little or no knowledge of ladder safety within the workplace, so it is ideal for induction and refresher training.
