The Corrigendum, which modifies five sections of BS 7671, will become effective immediately upon publication on Monday, May 15, 2023. The IET and BSI will provide free downloads of the Corrigendum. The areas of change include:

• Regulation 422.2, which has been revised to clarify its scope
  
• Indent (ii) of Regulation 443.4.1, which no longer includes the term “safety service” to avoid unintended consequences for fire safety system improvements
  
• Table 443.2 and the Note to Regulation 534.4.1.1, which have been amended to eliminate examples of equipment
  
• Regulation 701.1, which has been changed to eliminate the reference to birthing pools
  
• A new Regulation, 710.422.2.201, has been added to modify the requirements for protected escape routes in healthcare facilities within Regulation group 422.2.
